Hear the story of treasure — lost, then found — as William Mathers and Dr. Henry Parker take us on a journey of their recovery of a Spanish Galleon wrecked in 1638. The Concepción had set sail from Manila, bound for Acapulco, only to be wrecked on the reefs of Saipan, where it lay forgotten for 350 years. Hear about the modern-day adventure where our speakers led an international team of experts on history’s first archeological excavation of a Manila galleon.
